Research Before Recommendations
I take time to understand your business, your customers, your competitors and what people are actually searching for before I start building.
Behind the Brand
I'm Jason โ most people know me as Jay. I help small and local business owners turn their online presence into something that actually helps grow the business: a website people can find, trust and use, with the right systems behind it to keep good opportunities from slipping away.
Based in La Crete, Alberta, I work with businesses across Northern Alberta and throughout Western Canada.

Why I Do This Differently
They need straight answers, useful ideas and somebody who actually understands what they're trying to accomplish.
After more than 10 years working in marketing and copywriting, one thing has become pretty clear: most small business owners aren't looking to become marketing experts. They want to know what matters, what needs fixing, what can wait and whether the money they're spending is actually helping the business.
That's the approach I've built Jay's Digital Consulting around. Before I recommend anything, I want to understand the business, the customers, the competition and what a good result actually looks like for you.
Sometimes that means building a better website. Sometimes the bigger opportunity is showing up more often on Google, getting more reviews, improving the way leads are captured or making sure people actually get followed up with after they reach out. Often, those pieces work best together.
The goal isn't to sell you more marketing. It's to build the right things โ and make them work together.
What Working With Me Looks Like
Good work matters. So does making the process clear, useful and easy to work through.
I take time to understand your business, your customers, your competitors and what people are actually searching for before I start building.
If I see something that could make the website easier to use, easier to find or more useful to your business, I'll tell you โ even if it wasn't part of your original request.
There are no junior handoffs or layers between you and the person doing the work. From the first conversation through launch, you're dealing with Jason.
You shouldn't need a marketing dictionary to understand what you're paying for. I explain what matters, why it matters and what I recommend in normal language.
Projects start with a clear scope and a fixed-price quote, so you know what we're building and what it will cost before the work begins.
I don't disappear when the website goes live. I stay available for updates, improvements, questions and the next thing your business needs.
More Than a Website
I look at the whole path a customer takes โ from finding your business to deciding they trust you, reaching out and getting a response.
Show up where customers are looking โ Google, Maps and increasingly AI-powered search.
Give people a professional online presence that makes it easy to understand who you are and why they should choose you.
Make it simple for the right people to call, message, book or request a quote instead of quietly leaving the site.
Put simple systems behind the website so good leads don't get forgotten when the workday gets busy.
Northern Alberta Is Home
I live and work in La Crete, so I understand that business in Northern Alberta doesn't always work the same way it does in a big city. Reputation matters. Word of mouth matters. Seasons, distance and local relationships matter.
That local perspective shapes how I approach the work. I'm not trying to make a northern Alberta business look like a generic company from somewhere else. The website and marketing should feel like the business it represents โ just clearer, stronger and easier for customers to find.
Northern Alberta is home, and I also work remotely with small businesses throughout Western Canada.

โI felt like my ideas & input were valued, and Jason was very open with great suggestions and he did a lot of research to make sure that the end product would be as good as it could possibly be.โ
